A
website for drug information centre has been launched last month to mark our
presence in the global level. (www.dicalshifa.org)The departments complete
activities have been uploaded in the
website and I hope that, this website will be useful in strengthening our
efforts for information sharing with all the stake holders.
The
unstinted support ,guidance and encouragement of Mr. P Unneen, Managing trustee
and Dr T.N.K Suriyaprakash, Principal, Alshifa college of pharmacy in bringing
out this news letter and website is greatly acknowledged.
Despite
perinthalmanna being the hub of hospitals, patient care is still in its infancy
in this locality. There is a strong need to inculcate the habit of vibrant research in the mind of
each and every health care professionals. Our dream is to strengthen research
by bridging the gap between Doctors, Nurses and other health care professionals
to reach the common goal of patient care. We are also looking at our academic
rigor and evaluation criteria and
freeing ourselves responding to student need.
This,
time we have a coloum by Dr G.P Mohanta, A legend in the pharma field, whose
contribution to this news letter has made it a special issue.

write-up on ADR awareness class which was held at Alshifa recently will be a
tremendous confident boost to all clinical pharmacist. Status of ADR monitoring
in this hospital for the past few months also been included in this issue. Note
on personality development class for Pharm.D and a brief note on -visit to charitable institution by our Pharm.D
students highlights the importance of
patient care, social commitment ,and leadership qualities one must have
in life ,since the true aim of education
is the process of man making.
