Alshifa Hospital Free Medical camp: Leap To Good Health
The Al Shifa hospital Pvt.Ltd which is always committed in providing state of art treatment to poor and needy at affordable cost conducted two free medical camps in February and March of 2014 in conjunction with two different organizations. The medical care of various sections of society is important for balance in society and here lies the importance of role of non-government organisations where government authorities cannot reach due to their limited resources.
Medical camp: Along with KVVES
The Mannarkad Branch of Kerala vyaparavyavasayiEkopanasamithi(KVVES), one of the largest single organisations of traders and industrialists in the world organised a free medical camp at VyaparaBhavan, Mannarkad on 1st march 2014. The camp was organised with the objective of providing free medical examination and check up for the traders and their family members. Dr.Omnath MD,DM (cardiology) headed the camp along with Dr.Reghuram.A.krishnan MD, DM,FIC(cardiology) and Dr.Abeer MBBS,MEM (GWUU) USA.Various free services were made available in the camp such as general check-up, cardiac check-up, medicine distribution, ECG and blood test. One of the important features of the camp was that besides active medical treatment it also provided an awareness programme on First Aid and its importance which is a basic treatment to patient and can be lifesaving in certain occasions.
Medical Camp: Along with BijuRafel RemembranceCommittee
More than 200 people belonging to all walks of life thronged A.M.L.P. school,Kottapuram, Angadipuram on 16th February 2014 for a special medical camp Organised by Biju Rafel Rememberance committee in memory of BijuRafel activist. The camp was performed in collaboration with Al Shifa hospital and emphasised on eye check-up and cardiac check-up. The cardiologist Dr.omnath MD, DM,Dr.Reghuram.A.krishnan MD, DM, FICand eye specialist Dr.PadhmanabhanMeleth (ophthalmology) contributed much in thediagnosis and treatment. In the eye check-up they identified few patients who require further help. Blood donation campaign was also conducted as part of the camp. Free medicines and free medical test were also provided where ever necessary.
Both medical camps were benefited over hundreds of people across state. The beneficiaries and local people where happy with the conduction of these medical camps and are satisfied with doctors and their services. The people of the area ensured their fullest cooperation and help with Al Shifa hospital for developmental and relief activities. Each camp signified the selection of different location for future camps where there is greater need.
