·         World No Tobacco Day 2015
A one week awareness program at KIMS AL SHIFA Hospital

·         Department of pharmacy practice in collaboration with pulmonology department of KIMS Al Shifa Hospital conducted World No Tobacco Day 2015 with a motto 'say no to tobacco'.!

4th year Pharm D student, Nandana, made a talk on 'smoking, alcoholism and drug abuse' for the students of Aura Edify School Perinthalmanna.

Pharm D students of the department managed a patient counseling unit for quit smoking.

Pharm D students performed a live demo about adverse effects of smoking for the students of Aura Edify School Perinthalmanna

           

Social activities of the department
We work for a socially committed new generation pharmacist.

Our students (2nd Batch Pharm D and first batch Pharm D) and faculties visited and interacted with the inmates of Aakashapparavakal Old Age Home, Thuvoor, Melatur on 21st May 2015. It was a new experience for the upcoming clinical pharmacists to boost up their humanity.

As a beginning, our student Mr. Mammen Paul 5th year Pharm D, developed a novel software for ADR reporting and monitoring and it was inaugurated by Mr. Suhail, GM, SIMS..
