Alshifa hopsital laid a foundation stone to a dream turned to reality-LIGHTED TO ENLIGHTEN. We all were waiting enthusiastically to step to a new world where classroom theories were directly to be transferred to practical application.. Our first day of pharmacy practice was an unforgettable experience in our life, as we all sensed the practical side of professionals. Since we were posted as a group of two in each department including pharmacy, there was an anxiety about our interaction with doctors. But as soon as the ward rounds began we were happy to see that the doctors were very cooperative. Even in their busy schedules they found time to share their knowledge and experience with us. As beginners, it was difficult for us to collect and read the case files. But by God's grace we got nursing staff who were ready to help us all the time. They gave the maximum information regarding each case. Drug information centre under pharmacy practice department provided opportunity to know the aspects of pharmacy practice. We realized how vast the medicine field is. The way we integrated class room training with daily pharmacy practice made us aware about the responsibility of our duty. We thank our Managing trustee,Mr.P Uneen. Director ,Dr Saraswathi, Hod,Dr Durgaramani, and other faculties of Alshifa college of pharmacy for their continuous support in the hospital, in moulding us to responsible clinical pharmacists aiming service to humanity. Hope we will have more enriching experiences from Alshifa in the years to come.
